Truck Horns? I'm a truck driver but I've always wondered why it's neccessary for a trucks horn to be louder than a cars?

Is it legal to mount train air horns on a truck? I was wondering if it was legal to mount train horns on a truck as long as you did not go around disturbing the peace with it. If not, is it legal to mount them on a hy-rail truck. No smart aleck answers.

In the cul-de-sac where I live, usually around the morning between 10-12am, this open-back truck with things such as bikes and chairs in it drives slowly up and begins blowing this loud and EXTREMELY annoying horn. However, if there is a skip out, they start taking from it and putting it into the back of their truck, even without anyone's permission. It happened at my house and it just happened next door. Why don't aircraft have horns? It has always seemed to me that horns are essential on aircraft while on the ground, yet, no company has them installed. Why not? Collisions could be avoided. I have these big loud air horns and there are these cats roaming the parking lot. What would you do? I am a truck driver sitting in my truck doing answers. I'm sitting in this big parking lot, and I keep seeing these cats roaming around looking for food scraps. And I've got some LOUD air horns that are mounted on the truck bottom. I'm temped to toss some food out to attract the cats,then get down on that horn to watch their reaction. But here in laredo Tx, it is night and there are other trucks around me with their drivers sleeping. If I blast my horn, the only claws and fangs that will come out will probably be those of the other truck drivers. And so, my Y/A friends, what do you think I should do?
