- Depends on if you are doing the work yourself or not.
- You'll have to get the requirement list from your local DOT office. The requirements are different from state to state. Some states do not allow offroad motorcycles to be registered for road use, regardless of modifications
- You need all the lights, exhaust pipe, horn, new tires to DOT approved and retitled of motorcycle to street legal status. Around $1,000.
- if it does not have an ADR plate forget it cheaper then to buy a new one
- Depends on the state you live in, and what type of bike your dong the conversion on. You can piece together a set up for pretty cheap. If your DB has a headlight and taillight your job is going to be easy. You will need a hydraulic brake switch ~$10 dual filament 1157 bulb socket and bulb for the brake/running light ~$10 Small horn (use a horn from a Honda rebel or other small aftermarket unit, they pull less power) ~$40 You will need wire and misc connectors, or solder and heat shrink connections. If your state requires turn signals, then you will need a switch to run the signals, the lights themselves, a flasher unit, ect. This can cost $40-80. You will need at least one mirror. Cost can greatly vary depending on the mirror: folding unit, bar end mount, ect. If your state does inspections, you will need to get DOT approved tires $150-350. If they don't do safety inspections, such as parts of Arizona, you can get away with running the knobbies. You can also get pre made kits, such as the BajaDesigns kit. https://www.bajadesigns.com/NET/C-MCYCLE/MOTORCYCLE+PRODUCTS Another website that will help you with finding parts is; http://www.4strokesonly.com/ I have ordered many parts from 4strokesonly, and highly recommend them.
- Too much
