Is it legal to use a car horn that makes a siren type blast?

Just one blast, like a normal car horn. Does each state have a different law/ or is there a federal law/standard like for other car parts?

1. There is no federal law in practically any driving regulations. That being said, there is probably a nationally recognized prohibition against the type of horn you're describing. Check with your local DMV or DPS. I'm pretty sure you'll find they are restricted to emergency vehicles only. Good luck!
2. i think, that as long you don´t have an emergency siren, (police, ambulance or firetruck) it should not be a big problem.
