Air Horns

I have a rechargeable handheld safety signal air horn. It can be pumped up with a bike pump. How much psi?

Or does the psi reaslly even matter? I'm new to these things. by the way it does not say anything about psi on the bottle. It would be awesome if it would just stop when it's the right amount or full or whatever.

  1. No one should answer this question because the wrong answer will turn your air horn into a bomb of exploding shrapnel. But if you promise to ONLY USE A BIKE PUMP.... just try a few pumps and see if it works... if it doesn't try a few more... Just don't try too many. See above. Here is a website: http://www.preparedness.com/ecoblasrecai.html Their cannister can be safely filled up to 90 PSI. You can safely put 100 PSI in a bike tire, so go for it in a metal can! BTW... I'm not joking about the exploding shrapnel... somewhere above 100 PSI is a bomb. Maybe not now... but let it get a little rusty.
