Air Horns

is having a car horn on a bicycle legal?

ive put a car horn on my bike and will only use it if i have to. is this legal for a bicycle? the horn puts out 120dB if thats any use!?!? its in a well secure place and will not fall off or cause any injury

1. Its your bike. You can put a fog horn off a cruise ship on it if you want. The only problem it can only be used when necessary. The only thing that i can think of that would be illegal is a siren.(because they are for emergency vehicles only)
2. I'm not sure, but I bet it must depend on where you live. Check your local by-laws. And I'm assuming that if you are using it responsibly it would be okay.
