Bike won't start, anyone know?
I've got a '99 CBR F4. After sitting for a few months, I went to start it and the bike wouldnt turn over. The lights would come on, and the more i tried to start it, the less power it'd have. I figured the recitifier was draining it, so I replaced that and the battery. And even then, it won't even turn over anymore nor will the lights or horn even flick on. Now, I don't know where to go. Is it the starter solenoid, or a burnt wire? Thanks in advance!

- try jumping it, then replace every thing plugs air filter oil gas fuses
- petrol goes off after few months check your fuel tap replace fuel then try to bump start it good luck
- You can find information to diagnose this at: www.dansmc.com
- #1, Rectifiers don't drain batteries. #2, the new battery should have been FULLY charged before installation. Drain the fuel system, replace with fresh. Fully charge the battery. This should help.
- If you ruled out the electrical system and you have fresh spark plugs, then switch your fuel petcock to the RESERVE setting and wait for five minutes. I had more than one occasion of resolving a problem like this for other bikers so maybe this will work for you. Turns out their petcock NORMAL fuel setting was just at the bottom the normal gasoline tank level. So even though they had enough gas in the tank, it wasn't getting to the carbs. As soon as you start the bike, take it to the gas station and top-off. And remember to set your fuel petcock back to NORMAL fuel setting. Consider this just one more idea to the rest of the answers you're getting.
